You don't have to be a marathoner, a biohacker, or an influencer with a gallon jug to be well-hydrated. This is plainspoken, well-sourced writing about what water actually does for regular bodies — and what it doesn't.

Our philosophy

Plain water is underrated. We're here to make it boring.

The wellness industry sells hydration back to you at a markup: powders, packets, electrolytes you probably don't need, bottles that track your every sip. For the vast majority of people, on the vast majority of days, the answer is much duller than that — drink water, regularly, and eat your vegetables.

"Underdog" is the whole point. Your body isn't an optimized athletic machine, and it doesn't need to be treated like one. You're a person with a job, a commute, kids, or a night shift — and hydration should fit into that life without a subscription.

So our goal is to make hydration boring, consistent, and easy: honest about the science, quick to read, and free of the fear-mongering that treats a normal afternoon slump like a medical emergency.
